When you hear the words meal prepping, what do you think?
Time-consuming? Boring?
Meal prepping is a routine most of the FCB do and it saves us so much time & money!
Work long hours? Meal prep!
Got a budget? Meal plan & prep!
This way you can stay on track!
If you’ve never meal prepped before, once you get in the routine, we promise it will become like second nature, and you’ll find that you love the freedom it gives you.
PRE- PLAN
In the FCB we have over 25 meal plans already made up to choose from and we provide new monthly plans as we go. Depending on your goal, whether it be fat loss or muscle build, you can choose a meal plan that appeals to you.
Plan your meals ahead of time & take inventory of what you already have & write out your grocery list! (stick to your list)
This will save you from shopping for those items you regret buying later.
Also knowing ahead of time what your calorie/macro intake should be and work with that if your choosing not to follow a meal plan!
DEDICATE A PREP DAY
Meal prepping does not need to be done daily or be super time-consuming. Dedicate 1 day a week (just 1-2 hours) to meal prep. I typically like to prep on Sunday’s or Monday’s, depending on what life looks like at the time, but it is a lifestyle, so work with your specific schedule!
START SMALL & KEEP IT SIMPLE
Do not overcomplicate or overwhelm yourself when trying to pick recipes and prep; choose recipes that have fewer ingredients and fewer steps when you’re starting out.
Remember, if you do not like something, there are always substitutions, don’t panic!! (ask in the FCB group; the women are amazing for helping in this area)
When shopping, don’t forget about frozen & already cut up veggies & fruit (these are a lifesaver in our household)
As time goes on and it becomes second nature, you can start choosing recipes with more!
MAKE IT FUN
- Plan to meal prep with a friend or a fellow FCB member!
- Turn on some music or a podcast that inspires you and listen while podcasting also helps with focus!
- Send your family out for the day while you prep so you can focus ( this helps me when my husband takes our daughters out for a day date, and I can really dive into my prepping)
- Share it in the FCB community!
