I am so excited to share this with you all as a long-time myth women believe putting on muscle will make them look manly and bulky.
Another thing I think most women don’t realize is how hard it is to put muscle on; it doesn’t happen overnight and doesn’t happen on accident unless you are a beginner and just starting weight lifting.
In fact, if you are a beginner or new to your fitness journey, I would highly encourage you to focus on weightlifting as it will serve you better in the long run.
Trust me, the body you dream of having needs more muscle! Muscle shapes and sculpts you, giving you defined lines and curves and tightening you up everywhere.
So whether your goal is fat loss or muscle gain, make sure you are weight listing. You won’t regret it.
I’ve spent the last year eating over-maintenance calories and weight lifting with progressive overload.
I’ve only gained 10 lbs, and I thought that meant I wasn’t eating enough or doing something wrong.
The fact is putting on muscle takes a long time, and if you are not a beginner, it takes even longer.
Does the thought of building muscle scare you?
Does building muscle make you curious about what that would look like on you?
Is this something you want to do but feel you need help?
Were you surprised at the chart?
I have helped hundreds of women transform not only their body but their relationship with themself, food and building muscle.
