Whoever is careless with the truth in small matters cannot be trusted in important matters.
Albert Einstein
This is something I have dealt a lot with from one on one clients and also with myself on my journey, and that is integrity.
Can you trust yourself? Do you trust yourself? Can you keep the promises you’ve made to yourself?
If you cannot be honest with yourself in the small daily things, how do you think you can be trusted with your desired outcome?
If you can trust yourself with the daily things like your mindset, your sleep, your movement, and nourishing your body, your self-talk, then and only then will reaching your goal be possible.
Losing weight 1,2,3 x doesn’t mean you’ve ever reached your goal if you couldn’t maintain it.
Just because you can diet on and off doesn’t mean anything; that only instills you cannot trust yourself because you keep doing it and failing. It is not weight loss you cannot be trusted in. It is a healthy lifestyle and maintenance you can not do, and that all comes down to mindset and daily habits.
You have to be trusted in your daily habits that will sustain the goal you want. You have to switch your mindset from dieting to creating healthy habits, from restricting to adhering and creating. One adds, the other takes away.
Start finding ways to trust yourself by adding small daily habits again, and soon, you will trust yourself with the bigger goals.
- Set a daily step goal
- Set a sleep goal
- Set a nutrition goal
- Set a water goal
- Set a mindset goal
If you can set small goals and do them daily, you will build your trust in yourself again.

1 thought on “Can you be trusted?”
I have lost substantial weight twice in my life and eventually gained it back because I couldn’t trust myself and did not apply these daily goals. This time I am 100% committed and feel like I can trust that I will continue beyond my goal! I used to look at weight loss as going from A to B but B does not exist! It’s A to infinity!
