Amber is a FCB member and has shown such amazing changes mind & body, we asked her to share her story and here is what she had to say…
My journey started back in April 2021, my husband had started a workout routine and I decided to join him. My whole life I’ve never been active, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia when I was 12 and people always doubted me, and looked at me like the” sick kid.
I went into a deep depression at the age of 14 and was admitted into the psychiatric ward. I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety disorder.
I’ve been on different medications my entire life. Fast forward to 2017-2018 and my doctor put me on yet another anxiety medication. I ended up gaining 50+ lbs from this medication and I decided to ask my doctor to take me off of it when I started my journey.
Im a mother of 5 and I’ve never gave myself time to get healthy. All 4 of my babies were born via C-section so that scar is a insecure spot of mine as well.
This year I just didn’t feel like myself and I needed to make a change. So when my husband picked up an exercise routine he motivated me to do my own, I felt great!
We started out with cycling everyday and going for walks with the kids. I quit drinking pop, which was a huge step for me. I also quit drinking alcohol as I use to be an alcoholic in my Early 20’s I am no 9 months and 15 days sober, as well I quit vaping which was my biggest challenge yet, I’m 197 days nicotine free. Hannahs program has helped me stay on track and keep focused on my “why” for health & fitness.
I found Hannah through a Facebook friend who had done one of Hannah’s programs and she toned up really nice and was loving life. I wanted to have that too! So I added Hannah as a friend on Facebook and I followed her posts for a few months, I always liked looking at all the progress pictures she would post of other people. I wanted to be one of those people in the progress pictures.
I finally decided to pursuit joining one of Hannah’s programs, I felt like I had the right mindset and had the support to do so. It was the right time.
I enjoy following along to her pre-recorded videos, it makes it easier to follow along with someone. I was doing really good and was toning up then I started nursing school which takes up alot of my time on its own then my kids were home for school due to covid, and my home-based business was taking off.
I fell off track for a little bit but I am finally picking myself back up and going to keep working on myself. It’s ok if you fall, just make sure you pick yourself back up thats what matters.
The other hard part, was trying to get my family to eat my meal plans. It’s hard to get everyone on the same page as me, but if you have it available and there all the time they eventually start to pick up. If they don’t like what I cook then they will cook for themselves or we change it up a little bit. Having that support is so great though.
I really love my new lifestyle….being active has relieved a lot of the pain I would deal with daily. I haven’t been so depressed lately and depersonalized, I feel like I’m more of myself now. I am on day 216 of my 365 day challenge, I’m hoping to have more muscle & definition by April 2022 and I want to be able to lift weights and be able to do a full body push up and be able to do a proper lunge
I want to be a good role model for my children to live a healthier life so they don’t fall into depression & addiction like I have. Thank you Hannah and fit club babes for being a huge support in this journey, I love seeing everyone’s progress pictures little by little, a little becomes a lot
